MANAMA take on Muharraq tonight in what promises to be a tightly contested affair in the Zain Bahrain Basketball League. The game, scheduled to tip off at 7.30pm, will be played at the Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam.
Both clubs head into the clash having won all their games so far. Manama have played and won three contests, most recently an 86-83 squeaker against Al Hala. The reigning Bahrain Basketball Association Cup holders will be relying on their American import Calvin Warner and their talented Bahraini quartet of Mahmood Ghuloom, Bader Malabes, Ahmed Abdulaziz and Hassan Nairouz.
Muharraq, on the other hand, have played just twice and won both in convincing fashion. They beat Nuwaidrat 106-90 in their last game.
The 2007-08 league champions will be spearheaded by former National Basketball Association veteran Lamond Murray from the US, and their local stars including Mohammed Hassan, Mohammed Abdulmajeed and Ali Abbas, and Ebrahim Khabaaz.
