The strip of wasteland in front of the Nuwaidrat centre along side the Al Estiqlal Highway seems to have become a truckers' pitstop!

Trucks regularly park there for several days, with drivers eating and sleeping on the roadside and generally making the area look like a mess.

Is this legal? Most of these vehicles have travelled from other countries. Maybe, authorities should consider setting up an official site for them with proper facilities rather than subjecting the public to seeing these men using a nearby wall as a public toilet as I recently did. Leena
